Brand new 2018 Monster 821, the middle child between the 797 and 1200. I’ve always wished I had almost any other color than red for the Miata, but for a monster... I can’t imagine choosing anything else. There are 4 miles on the bike (it was a demo unit apparently ) and it’s being sold at $3000 under MSRP due to “minor cosmetic damage”. So... It got dropped in the parking lot..?

Here’s hoping the damage is purely cosmetic and not too severe. If everything checks out, I’ll bring it home as soon as my helmet gets here. Or sooner, if I can get the dealership to throw some gear in. Might be worth a shot, no?

I worked part time from home for 5 months followed by 9 months of unemployment.  Living in the city.  Jan-Feb sucked because Chicago but it was awesome.

I highly recommend that refresh every few years. Really. It helps your perspective, clarified priorities, and reenergizes you .

As far as Chicago winters go, they’re generally more cold and grey than snowy, really.  If you want to really experience tons of snow with your cold, try a city that’s downwind from one of the Great Lakes, not upwind.   Like Buffalo.

I think you skipped a step. B etween being broke but not young and being old and house-broke, I bet you briefly felt not-young and not- broke enough to buy the house that made you house-broke right around the time you got old.

Gotta do the naked bike thing. I’m in love with my new ‘18 Street Triple. Fast as fuck but a beautiful commuter too. The worst part is break in, can’t go over 5k!

The red does look great. They had a few there too, but for me the gray stood out.

Very nice!  I’m looking into FZ-09's right now.  Found a nice one at a dealer that had been down as well, but at some speed it seemed.  They still wanted $6100 for it, which went up to over 7k all in.....yea I’ll keep looking.
